PENENTUAN TINGGI IRIGASI GENANGAN YANG TIDAK MENURUNKAN PRODUKSI PADI SAWAH
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan petani di Jabong (Kabupaten Subang), dari bulan November 2012 sampai Februari 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tinggi irigasi genangan yang tidak menurunkan produksi padi sawah. Penelitian disusun dengan rancangan acak kelompok faktor tunggal dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah tinggi irigasi genangan, yaitu (a) penggenangan pada ketinggian air 0 cm; (b) penggenangan pada ketinggian air 2.5 cm di atas permukaan tanah; (c) penggenangan pada ketinggian air -2.5 cm atau 2.5 cm di bawah permukaan tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggenangan dengan ketinggian air -2.5 cm tidak menurunkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, hasil gabah, maupun seluruh komponen hasil. Penggenangan air -2.5 cm atau 2.5 cm di bawah permukaan tanah dapat diterapkan dalam budi daya padi sawah.
