Abstract

Thermoplastic is a synthetic polymer most widely being produced and one of the production of thermoplastic that is rising, is polyethylene. Thermoplastic Application is used by many companies of plastics and non-plastics. Companies usually use thermoplastic plastics as packaging materials, household appliances, construction, automotive, electrical and so on. This study makes HDPE film with fly ash filler with varying concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% in the hope of HDPE plastic films have resistance / strength against thermal degradation. Thermal analysis that is used was DSC. The results showed that a peak is at a temperature 132,50C with enthalpy of 211.4 mJ / mg at the start of the sample while the HDPE film-filler 5% indicates a peak that is at a temperature 130,60C with enthalpy of 224.7 mJ / mg.
