REPERTOIRE DALAM NOVEL IKAN-IKAN HIU, IDO, HOMA (KAJIAN RESPONS ESTETIK WOLFGANG ISER)

Abstract

Historical, social and cultural norms have inspired and played a crucial role in the overall story that was presented Y.B. Mangunwijaya in Ikan-Ikan Hiu, Ido, Homa. The whole norm acts as a background that underlies literary works which are then modified to form the foreground or things that are to be conveyed Y.B. Mangunwijaya to readers. The purpose of this study was to find out the repertoire in Ikan-Ikan Hiu, Ido, Homa which included historical, social, cultural norms, and also foreground. The method used is the reading method. Through reading the repertoire it will be revealed, and the meanings contained in the text can be realized. Based on the research that has been done, the historical norm that appears is the history of the kingdom of Ternate and its relationship with other kingdoms, the history of the arrival of foreign nations, and the history of the massacre of the Banda population.The manifestation of the social norm is the social stratification of the people in North Maluku and inter-kingdom conflicts in North Maluku. While the form of cultural norms is the tradition of fishing, carpentry, weaving, medicine, dopa-dopa party, marriage, and death. Appointed norms Y.B. Mangunwijaya and transplanted in his work have given rise to new meanings. These norms serve to convey criticism of the authorities who often act arbitrarily against the people. Through the figures presented, Y.B. Mangunwijaya inserted various criticisms and also his views on the authorities in running the government.
