MOTIVASI PADA SATUAN PENGAMANAN (SATPAM) DI PERUSAHAAN X

Abstract

Companies that are oriented towards work motivation will make a person's performance be good and increase, motivation for each person is different from one another. Someone's motivation to work is largely due to basic needs. Motivation will make workers do their jobs harder in achieving company goals. This research was conducted to analyze the factors that influence work motivation in company X based on Maslow's theory of needs. This research is quantitative with the research subjects as many as 31 security guards (satpam). Retrieving data using questionnaires and using measuring instruments based on Maslow's theory. From this study the results showed that the highest work motivation was in the Safety and Security dimension, namely a comfortable workplace made them very motivated, while the lowest motivation was in the basic need dimension, namely the income obtained was insufficient.

Perusahaan yang berorientasi pada motivasi kerja akan membuat kinerja seseorang dapat menjadi baik dan meningkat, motivasi pada setiap orang berbeda satu dengan yang lain. Motivasi seseorang dalam bekerja sebagian besar disebabkan adanya kebutuhan dasar. Motivasi akan membuat pekerja akan melakukan pekerjaan mereka dengan lebih keras dalam mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi kerja di perusahaan X berdasarkan teori kebutuhan Maslow. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan subyek penelitiannya sebanyak 31 orang satpam. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuisioner dan menggunakan alat ukur berdasarkan teori Maslow. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa motivasi kerja tertinggi berada pada dimensi Safety and Security yaitu tempat kerja yang nyaman membuat mereka sangat termotivasi, sedangkan motivasi terendah berada pada dimensi basic need yaitu penghasilan yang diperoleh tidak mencukupi kebutuhan.
