Authorship Criteria and Responsibilities

Authorship Criteria and Responsibilities

Agriekonomika is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in scholarly authorship. Authorship should accurately reflect the intellectual contributions of individuals involved in the research and preparation of a manuscript.

All individuals listed as authors must have made substantial contributions to the scholarly work and must accept responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the published research.

Authorship Criteria

To qualify for authorship, an individual must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: Making significant contributions to the conception or design of the study, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of research data.
  2. Manuscript Preparation and Revision: Participating in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
  3. Final Approval: Reviewing and approving the final version of the manuscript before submission or publication.
  4. Accountability: Agreeing to take responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the research and ensuring that any concerns regarding the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Individuals who contribute to the research but do not fulfill all authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section, with their permission, rather than being listed as authors.

Author Contributions

Agriekonomika encourages authors to provide a clear statement describing their individual contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

Author contributions may be specified using the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), including conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data analysis, data curation, writing, reviewing, editing, supervision, and other relevant research activities.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for managing communication between the authors and the journal throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication processes.

The corresponding author must ensure that:

  1. All listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria.
  2. All authors have reviewed and approved the submitted manuscript.
  3. All authors agree with the authorship order and manuscript submission.
  4. Relevant declarations, including conflicts of interest, funding information, and ethical approvals, are accurately provided.
  5. Editorial communications and requests for manuscript revisions are appropriately communicated to all co-authors.

Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after manuscript submission must be accompanied by a written explanation and documented consent from all affected authors.

The Editor will evaluate the request in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy. Authorship changes will not be permitted without sufficient justification and the required author approvals.

Authorship Misconduct

Agriekonomika does not tolerate unethical authorship practices, including gift authorship, guest authorship, ghost authorship, or unauthorized changes to the author list.

Any suspected authorship misconduct will be evaluated by the editorial team. When necessary, the journal may request supporting documentation, seek clarification from the authors, or consult relevant institutions in accordance with recognized publication ethics guidelines.

Confirmed violations may result in manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, or retraction, depending on the nature and severity of the misconduct.
