Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

General requirement:

  1. Articles received only articles from the research results of science education and natural science.
  2. Articles are written in Indonesian or English in accordance with the format or template of Jurnal Pena Sains.
  3. The author submits the article by online submission (read the submission process). The article may also be sent as an email attachment to pena.sains@gmail.com
  4. Articles submitted to editors are unpublished articles proven by a written statement. The statement is attached to the article.

Standard Article Submission:

  1. Articles are typed using Microsoft Word with Times New Roman letters, measuring 11 points. Paper B5  using two columns (column width 6.5 cm spacing 1); writing space 1; left limit of 2.5 cm, right limit of 1.5 cm, top limit of 2 cm, and bottom limit of 2 cm.
  2. Each page is numbered in sequence (bottom of page).
  3. mages and tables that accompany the writing should be written in capital letters at the beginning only, without ending the dot. The description on the table should be placed on top of the table while in the picture below with Times New Roman 10 spaces 1, while the contents of tables and pictures using Times New Roman 9 spaces 1. Table and image must be placed in the body text and meet the standards for printing.
  4. Articles are written not to exceed 15 pages (includes images and tables).

 Systematics Writing Articles Submission:

  1. Articles of research consist of a title, author's name, author's address (accompanied by email), abstract (in Indonesian and English), keywords, introductions, research methods, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions, and also a bibliography.
  2. The title is written short, specific has a fascination (provocative) and information that describes the contents of the article. The title is written with capital letters Times New Roman measuring 14 points, single spacing (before 6 after 12) and is located in the middle without a dot.
  3. Abstract maximum 200 words at the beginning of the paper. For papers in Bahasa Indonesia, the abstract should be written in Bahasa Indonesia and English. The abstract contains a brief description of the problem and/or research objectives, methods/approaches, and research results. Abstracts are written in Times New Roman letter size 10, single space.
  4. Keywords: consists of 3-5 words, sorted alphabetically (Times New Roman 9 Bold).
  5. The introduction contains a brief description of the research problem, the problem-solving plan, and the research objectives written without subheads.
  6. Research Methods, explaining the research design, research variables, tools, research procedures, data collection methods, sampling techniques, the process of validation of research instruments and technical data analysis.
  7. The results of research and discussion begin by presenting the data of research results in summary with reviews using narrative text, tables, or images.
  8. Conclusions and suggestions, containing specific details of research results and discussion. Suggestions contain the main points of research to other researchers in applying or continuing the research.
  9. The bibliography is arranged according to the APA (American Psychological Association) pattern. Writing bibliography using Times New Roman letters 11, line spacing 1, justify. Bibliography without a serial number in order of writing the reference in the text. The order of writing is the author's name, publication year, title or source.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Submission has not been previously published or is under consideration of another journal (or an explanation has not been provided in comments to the editor).
  2. Script files in OpenOffice document file format, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect.
  3. When available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. Text 1 space; font 12; italic; neither underlined (except the URL address); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the right points, not at the end.
  5. The text to comply with the requirements of the library and style depicted in outline in the Author Guidelines, which will be found in the About Us page.
  6. If the reception for a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions contained in Ensuring Reviewers Anonymous has followed
