STUDI KAPAL IKAN KATAMARAN BERBASIS ENERGI FOSIL

Pramudya Imawan Santosa

Abstract

ABSTRACT

In general, the operation of a fishing boat is always associated with economic and environmental issues. The consumption of fossil energy is still quite large, especially the use of fuel oil (fuel) as fuel to drive the ship's engine. The use of fuel for motorized vessels besides being uneconomic is also not friendly environment. Technical analysis is carried out by testing the ship model then the results are developed with shipping theories. This paper explains the cost benefits of using fuel on fishing vessels and is expected to provide a comprehensive picture to those concerned so that they are expected to be able to help in making decisions. From the results of the study it was shown that catamaran hull is very potential to be used as a fishing vessel because it has a large deck area and also has good resistance, stability and movement (seakeeping) performance and has the potential to reduce exhaust emissions and subsequently will be used as a basis for non-fossil energy applications on ships.
