The research employs a quantitative approach utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. Data were collected through pre-research interviews, documentation, and validated observations. The sample was drawn using a saturated sampling technique, encompassing the entire population, resulting in 31 respondents from TK Anna Husada Bangkalan. The findings indicate that the observation sheet's validity, comprising 8 items, reached a value of 87.5%, categorizing it as highly valid. Data analysis included normality tests and hypothesis testing using t-tests. The normality test results revealed that the pre-test value was 0.098 &gt; 0.05 and the post-test value was 0.078 &gt; 0.05, indicating a normal data distribution. The hypothesis test showed that the calculated t-value (t-count) was 41.375, exceeding the critical t-value (t-table) of 2.04227, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). Consequently, it can be concluded that extracurricular drumband activities positively influence children's musical discipline. This research suggests that incorporating drumband activities in early childhood education can significantly enhance children's musical discipline. Schools and educators might consider integrating such extracurricular activities into their curriculum to foster better discipline and potentially improve overall academic and personal development outcomes for children. Future research could explore long-term effects and the impact of similar activities on other areas of children's growth.</p> Ayu Lirana Suryaning Harlambang, Angga Fitriyono, Tarich Yuandana Copyright (c) 2024 Nak-Kanak Journal of Child Research https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/v3/nakkanak/article/view/1-3 Thu, 18 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Analisis Kemampuan Berbahasa Indonesia Pada Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun Melalui Dongeng Ke’ Lesap https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/v3/nakkanak/article/view/68 <p>This study aims to analyze the Indonesian language skills of children aged 4-5 years through the story of Ke' Lesap. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study are children in the 4-5 age group, focusing on their ability to understand and use Indonesian after being exposed to the story. Data collection was conducted through direct observation and interviews with teachers and parents to obtain a comprehensive picture of the children's language development. The results of this study show that children in this age range are already able to use Indonesian well. They demonstrated improvements in vocabulary, sentence structure, and narrative ability after routinely listening to the story of Ke' Lesap. A significant factor contributing to this improvement is the stimulus provided by the storytelling. The story of Ke' Lesap not only captures children's attention but also stimulates their imagination, which in turn encourages them to communicate more actively and use Indonesian in their daily lives. Furthermore, this study found that storytelling is very effective in introducing complex language concepts in a fun and easily understood manner by children. Teachers and parents also reported increased motivation among children to learn and communicate after participating in storytelling activities. Thus, it can be concluded that the story of Ke' Lesap is highly effective in developing the Indonesian language skills of children aged 4-5 years. This study suggests that storytelling methods should be used more frequently in early childhood education programs to enhance language skills and communication abilities. These findings also contribute significantly to the development of more creative and story-based educational curricula for children.</p> Aldila Prameswari, Eriqa Pratiwi, Muhammad Abdul Latif Copyright (c) 2024 Nak-Kanak Journal of Child Research https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/v3/nakkanak/article/view/68 Tue, 06 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Permainan Kartu Lambang Bilangan: Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berhitung Pada Anak Usia Dini https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/v3/nakkanak/article/view/66 <p>Early childhood experiences delays in calculating basic numbers. This study was conducted at PAUD Tunas Bangsa located in Kel. Ploso - Kec. Tambaksari, Surabaya. The subjects in this study were 17 students. The subjects at PAUD Tunas Bangsa were 3-5 years old. The analysis test was carried out using pretest and posttest data, and analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results of the study found that the sig result was 0.000, so there was a difference in the numeracy skills of early childhood before and after being given Number Symbol Cards. Therefore, number symbol cards have an important role in improving the numeracy skills of early childhood. There are several behaviors that lack discipline in the school environment, namely students arriving late to school, not paying attention to the teacher during learning, not doing assignments and often leaving the classroom during learning. One effort that teachers can make is modifying student behavior using the behavior contract technique. So, this research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the behavior contract technique on the discipline of grade 1 students at SDN 3 Balak, Banyuwangi Regency. The research method uses pre-experimental with a one shot case study model using t test analysis for related samples. This research design uses one group of 16 students, the sample collection method uses a total sampling technique. The population in this study were grade 1 students at SDN 3 Balak, Banyuwangi Regency. The results of the t test analysis for related samples showed a result of 2,131 &lt; 3,964, which means there is a difference in the degrees of freedom in the disciplinary behavior of students who were treated using the behavior contract technique and students who were not treated using the behavior contract technique. The value of the significance of the sample t test is 0,001 &lt; 0,05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of behavior contract techniques on the discipline of grade 1 students at SDN 3 Balak, Banyuwangi Regency.</p> Maulita Peni Lestari, Senny Weyara Dienda Saputri, Yuniarta Syarifatul Umami Copyright (c) 2024 Nak-Kanak Journal of Child Research https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/v3/nakkanak/article/view/67 Sat, 31 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0700
