APLIKASI PENGGUNAAN METODE PROMETHEE DALAM SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN UNTUK PENENTUAN MEDIA PROMOSI Studi Kasus: STMIK Indonesia
Abstract
Most of the economical, industrial, financial or political decision problems are based on multi-criteria. The selection is submitted to each individual's personal preference. Everybody allocates a different set of weights to the criteria. The selection or the ranking of alternatives submitted to a multi-criteria evaluation is not an easy problem. Neither economically nor mathematically! Usually there is no optimal solution; no alternative is the best one on each criterion. A better quality implies a higher price. The criteria are conflicting. Compromise solutions have to be considered. Why not the best compromises? A decision support system is required to utilize data and model to evaluate each alternative having a set of criteria. Here, a Promethee method is proposed as a model and additional reference functioned are provided by the system. Each function can be selected by decision maker to compute the degree of preference of each alternative and determine its rank. The system then will output a set of ranked
alternative, in which the best ranked, can be chosen by the decision maker as the right selection. The system has been tested to determine the best media for promotion. The result shows that the system performs well on helping decision maker on solving unstructured problem such as using the right media for promotions, and it gives an accurate result.
