Framing Pemberitaan Kekerasan Seksual 12 Santriwati di Media Online dengan Pembigkaian Gamson dan Modigliani

Abstract


Pemberitaan media online tentang kerkerasan seksual seringkali menonjolkan identitas tertentu dalam menarik perhatiaan pembaca. Kasus kekerasan seksual yang melibatkan guru dan pemilik pondok pesantren di Bandung dengan korban 12 santri, media menampilkan berbagai framing dalam menonjolkan persitiwa. Perhatian media online menepatkan isu tersebut sebagai isu sensitif terutama berkaitan dengan anak dan identitas agama. Keduanya sangat mungkin dijadikan objek penonjolan. Media Online Jabar.Tribunnews.com dan Republika.co.id menonjolkan berita dengan berbagai gaya penulisan dan sudut penceritaan. Hal tesebut menarik diteliti untuk mengetahui framing pemberitaan tentang kekerasan seksual yang sangat erat dengan praktik ideologi media. Melalui pisau analisis framing model Gamson dan Modigliani sebagai metode penelitiaan untuk membedah teks berita yang menunjukan pemberitaan tentang kekerasan seksual 12 santri. Hasil menunjukan, kedua media tidak melepaskan identitas agama dalam menonjolkan pelaku kekerasan seksual dan narasi pemberitan. Berita dikontruksikan melalui pemilihan isu dan penonjolaan fakta, sehingga publik membaca berita yang telah terkontruksikan melakui sekema framing. Baik Republika dan Tribunjabar mengaburkan persoaan kronologis yang menarik emosional ke arah proses tanggung jawab pelaku dan persoalan sosial seperti sepeti pendidikan tertutup, kondisi ekonomi korban dan panggung aktor diluar pelaku dan korban.
