Abstract


Consumer protection is all efforts that guarantee legal certainty to provide protection to consumers. Some traders at the Tuban GOR car free day still don't wash their hands when handling food, don't cover their heads/don't wear hats. Selection of food ingredients that are not good or do not meet the established food standards and the unavailability of sufficient clean water to wash cooking utensils and cutlery can also cause contamination of the products produced. This study aims to find out how consumers protect fast food or drinks according to KEPMENKES Number 942/MENKES/SK/VII/2003 concerning Guidelines for Food Sanitation Hygiene Requirements for Snacks, how consumers protect fast food or drinks from the perspective of Islamic law and how to implement them. supervision of food or drink on the Tuban car free day. This research is the result of field research at the car free day GOR Tuban using descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation, then the results of the research would be analyzed based on the provisions of KEPMENKES Number 942/MENKES/SK/VII/2003 concerning guidelines for Food Sanitation Hygiene Requirements for Snacks and Islamic Law Perspectives. The results of this study concluded that consumer protection for ready-to-eat food and drinks at the Tuban GOR car free day association has not run optimally. Vendors understand their rights and obligations as business actors, but peddlers tend to ignore and not comply with the rules that have been set. The implementation of supervision and guidance on ready-to-eat food or drinks at the Tuban GOR car free day traders association has not fully gone well, the Tuban district government has not been optimal in terms of supervision and only applies verbal and written warning sanctions, the implementation of supervision is not routine, budget constraints have become the cause.
