Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines Journal Simantec are as follows: 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Manuscripts written for Journal Simantec are scientific journal writings to promote and expand coverage covering the fields of (but not limited to) Information Systems, Software Engineering, UI/UX,  E-Government, IS and Business Process Modelling, Enterprise Architecture, IT/IS Audit, IT Governance, IS implementation, Smart City and Villages, IS Security, IS Theories, and others.
  • Manuscripts are written in Indonesian, please follow general guidelines for refined Indonesian spelling.
  • Manuscripts must be sent via the Online system (OJS) via the page: https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/simantec/index. For those who have never registered, please register first on the page: https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/simantec/user/register
  • Journal Simantec is published twice a year in June and December.

 WRITING STANDARD 

  • The manuscripts should be submitted using MS-Word document; Please download and use the Simantec template on the page:  https://journal.trunojoyo.ac.id/simantec/pages/view/tem
  • For all citations, the serial number must always be written in the IEEE style [1] format.
  • The author must use Zotero, Mendeley, etc as the reference manager.
  • Manuscripts are typed using the Microsoft Word program, except for tables and charts using Microsoft Excel and images using the JPEG or TIFF format.
  • Each manuscript at Journal Simantec will be reviewed by at least 1 reviewer or more with a double-blind review system. All review processes are carried out online via a web system and the development of the manuscript can be monitored by the author through the Online system.
  • The time each manuscript starts to be sent until it is declared received by the editorial staff will not be the same depending on the review process of each manuscript. Editors cannot guarantee a definite publication time when a new manuscript is submitted by the author.
  • Manuscripts that have been declared received with or without revision by the editorial team and reviewers. The scriptwriter is not charged any fees for the publication of the manuscript.
  • Proof-of-work checking and editing is done by editors and/or by involving the author. An editorial can cancel the loading of a manuscript that is already in print form if it is found to have problems.
  • Everything related to licensing for citation or use of computer software for script creation or other matters related to intellectual property rights carried out by the scriptwriter, as well as any legal consequences that may arise because of it, is the full responsibility of the manuscript writing.
  • After submitting, the author needs to periodically check his/her spam folder in case the response email's recognized as junk mail.
  • Turnitin check result should be uploaded in the supplementaries files menu. The turnitin check results should be maximum 20%.
  • Please cite 1 or two related articles from reputable international journals

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
